Out and About

There are many opportunities for exploring the vale from the Llindir.

Cycling

  • There are many circular routes to and from the Llindir which include magnificent views of the Clywdian, Snowdonian and Berwyn mountain ranges. Hard ascents are rewarded by the exhilaration of swooping downhill and a return to the Llindir for libations.
  • We are close to mountain biking opportunities, in the Moel Famau, Clywdian area and half an hour from Llandegla trail centre. The Marsh tracks are only 25 mins away, in the other direction, at Rhyl.

As keen bikers ourselves we can point you in the right direction and maybe even let you use our tools if you are stuck.

Fishing

Quality fishing abounds in our area, on the rivers Dee, Elwy and Clwyd,to name but three. The Llyn Brenig and Alwen reservoirs are just 15 miles away on the Denbigh Moors. We are close to the coast for beach fishing and sea fishing is accessible from Rhyl.

Walking

Strike out in any direction from the pub and it’s hard to go wrong. Moel Fodiar, our local version of mount Fuji, whose sumit is visible from our garden, is only a half hour stroll away, with views of the vale and the Snowdonian mountain range, the Dee estuary, the Wirral, the Mersey, Liverpool, and on an exceptionally clear day the mountains of Cumbria.

We are also close to the Offas Dyke path.
